Suggested Agenda for the Reflection (1 Day)

Short progress reports

Reflection on achievement of milestones (see Step 6.2)

Document achievement, or not, of milestones by asking the following:

Has this process marker been achieved?

If yes, write a short description of what happened, who helped achieve it, and, especially what were the success factors (were there any key events or actors that facilitated achieving this goal?)

If not:

What are we going to do with it? (move it forward, eliminate it all together, modify it?, etc. )

Explain why the change was necessary.

Set milestones for following 6-month period

Reflection on relevance of outcome targets (see Step 6.1)

Document outcome targets added, subtracted and modified, and reasons for the changes

Reflection on whether the impact pathways (as described in the outcomes logic model) are unfolding as expected

Have any of the impact hypotheses been proven or disproved?

Document and describe reasons for changes

Review (or selection) of significant change stories (if using the MSC approach)

After Action Review (AAR) of the last six months by asking participants to record (e.g., write on cards and stick on wall):

1)     What went well in the last six months

2)     What didn’t work so well

3)     What was unexpected?  What new opportunities and threats presented themselves?

4)     What to change in the project for the next six months?

5)     Key lessons learnt
